World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase an additional 3% of the previous damage for every time it's upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets in order to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be applied to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using less upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level using normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be available during the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know how much it can be improved upon the reset.
If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as you can to level 15.
It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and then replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so you should try to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the power of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points have been earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also has its own set bonus. This could be a problem because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it can use up many resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants buffs when the player continuously enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the maximum roll by 10 points. This item is extremely important in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.
Requirements
Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item, it has the chance to fail. The rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which requires the player to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any gained bonuses, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or reload speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example, a common item might have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example, they may need less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. upgrade item located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
