Items and Upgrade Components in World of Warcraft
Upgrading items can be a great way to increase the value of your weapon and armor. Upgrades to common and magic equipment are not worthwhile, since rare or exclusive items will quickly outclass them.
Upgrades can be added to an item up to six times. Each upgrade will add to the gauge of the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are upgrade materials that can be used to boost an item's attributes. Glyphs are often used to upgrade a weapon, or armor but they can also be used to improve a hat, ring, necklace, or any other item. Glyphs are sold at a variety of levels and can be bought from vendors located in the city of Deneb. They can be very costly, but are worth the investment since they can boost the stats of an item.
A glyph is a type of character that encodes the form of a symbol, letter, or numeral. It has a specific appearance and is assigned an unique code that is linked to it in different fonts. In addition to regular letters, glyphs can include special characters such as arrows and mathematical symbols. They may also represent icons or other symbols that are used in a particular language. There are also ligatures which join two letters together and swashes that are decorative symbols.
There are many kinds of glyphs and a font can have a variety of variations. Adobe Caslon Pro's default glyphs comprise traditional characters, ornaments swashes and fractions. The Glyphs panel lets you examine these variations and add them into your document.
Glyph measurements are the parameters which determine how a layout for text is constructed. They are determined by a combination of factors, including the advance width and side bearings. These measurements are important to ensure that the glyphs fit correctly on the screen and be properly displayed in text.
The Glyphs Panel is a powerful tool to create new design concepts for documents or modify existing ones. Select one of the options to see a collapsed or expanded Glyphs panel or choose the option to show only glyphs that have been added recently.
Growthstones
Growthstones can be used to increase the effectiveness of the weapon, accessory or armor. This process is time-consuming and it's possible the item won't be at the level it was intended for. A common headpiece, as an example, can be upgraded up to level six, but not nine. The maximum upgrade level of an item is determined by its quality. Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine, while Uncommon items can only be upgraded to level six.
You can purchase Growthstones from various NPCs in major cities, or from the player auction house. You can also get them as rewards from the Ancient Arena season. These items can be used to level weapons and armor, and also to increase the level of passive skills.
Once you have enough Growthstones, you can visit any Equipment Enchanting NPC to boost the level of your gear's upgrade. Different types of armor, weapons and accessories require different Growthstones. These NPCs also sell Active Skill Growth Books, Passive Skill Growth Books, and the Precious Skill Growth Book Omnipotence to upgrade your weapon.
You can upgrade your skills and equipment by visiting these NPCs however, you'll need to spend a lot on the process. Each upgrade level costs a certain amount of Valorstones and crests, with weapons usually costing the most. You'll also have to complete certain quests to acquire the required materials. If you wish to upgrade your armor, for instance you'll need one of the three Power Dices that are dropped by monsters that are higher than level 21 and certain quantities of Erons and Minerals.
Recycled Items
Recycled items are constructed either in whole or in part of materials that would otherwise been and then discarded. These include paper, glass bottles, and plastics. Suffix
Suffixes are upgrade components that can be used to improve weapons and armor. They can be reclaimed by getting rid of them from products or purchased from a merchant by using a Salvage Kit. Upgrades are color-coded to show which item type they can be applied to. The merchant can sell the identified upgrades for gold. Upgrades can be done with two prefixes, and a suffix. Upgrades are only available for items with the rarity of blue or higher and include items that drop from end chests in Factions and Nightfall campaign. Items with upgrade components cannot be used to make new items.
A suffix is a term or group of letters that imparts meaning to a word that is larger, such as -tion in the verb create or -phoria in the noun-feeling. Suffixes also have the ability to alter the pronunciation of a word. For example, English's suffix -er and German's suffix -ismus. They can also alter the spelling of a word, like the adjective defenseless, which is now insecure.
